Quotes:A key to achieving this, Couch and other researchers say, is to capture the carbon dioxide and send it underground instead of releasing it into the atmosphere.

Many technologies now being developed are trying to perfect this so-called carbon-capture technique.

"To reduce [emissions] to zero, you've got to capture the carbon and stick it in the ground," Couch said.

comment: i like this idea i think it would be really cool if they come up with away to trap the carbon from getting in to the air. I also think if this is a good alternative for the environment and for the cost of everything that this would be a smart move to burn coal instead.

question: my question is what happens to the carbon if we do trap it underground is there any environmental problems that will come of this?
